Co-founding partner of Riveros Bazzani Abogados. Riveros Due\u00f1as is a lawyer from the Externado University of Colombia with Master's degree in Insurance Law from the Javeriana University, as well as conciliator from the Chamber of Commerce of Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>

During her long career she has dedicated a large part of his time to public service, highlighting his work on issues related to Criminal law, transitional justice and peace processes in Colombia, the International Humanitarian Law and the International Law of Human Rights.<\/p>

She served as Deputy Attorney General from 2016 to 2019, leading the most important investigation strategies in the implementation of the Peace Agreement with FARC-EP. She also participated in the dismantling of major organized crime cartels and anti-corruption groups.<\/p>

Se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como jefe jur\u00eddica de la Oficina del Alto Comisionado para la Paz en dos etapas de gobierno y desde all\u00ed lider\u00f3 las discusiones sobre la jurisdicci\u00f3n penal internacional (Estatuto de Roma – Corte Penal Internacional) y su incorporaci\u00f3n al derecho penal colombiano. Del mismo modo, trabaj\u00f3 en ese despacho en las negociaciones de paz con las FARC-ep y el ELN, y promovi\u00f3 el proceso de desmovilizaci\u00f3n de las autodefensas liderando el tr\u00e1mite legislativo de la Ley 975 de 2005 y la creaci\u00f3n y puesta en marcha del Sistema Integral de Verdad, Justicia, Reparaci\u00f3n y no Repetici\u00f3n en el Marco del Acuerdo Final de Paz suscrito entre el Gobierno de Colombia y la antigua Guerrilla de las FARC.<\/p>

Her work in the peace process earned her the Hillary Rodham Clinton Award by the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, as well as the Colonel Guillermo Fergusson Order of Merit award awarded by the President of the Republic of Colombia.
